The story

Our history

The building is more than 100 years old and it was completely renovated in 2023, to welcome you in the best conditions. The building was bequeathed to the Town Hall of Montsalier by Mr. Fernand Esmieu and it was after 18 years of legal battle that this building was able to be restored and that we were able to restore its image.

Today, it is Marie-Caroline, Hans and their three children who have taken up the torch and who welcome you all the year, with passion and taste for hospitality.

Our journey

Hans worked more than 11 years in the hotel industry, in positions of responsibility, Marie-Caroline, for her part, attended hotel school. Both from Reims, they had this need toreturn to their roots, to find calm and serenity. It was then that they fell under the spell of this building and the region.

Today, they welcome you with kindness and empathy so that you feel at home. They will be able to answer you in French and in English

The renovations

The building has undergone numerous renovations, but its facade has remained intact, as have its charm and its soul. As you stroll through the different rooms of our charming guest house at the gates of Banon, you will particularly appreciate the modern decoration

The Auberge de Montsalier now welcomes you every day since August 1, 2023. The restaurant, for its part, has been open since August 14, 2023.
